Video lesson on 8th November for class II students.

On 8th of November, with no other option, I showed my children a you tube video on the topic Visual Discrimination of shapes. Before the video, as an introduction lesson, I took them out of the class. I placed the L-shaped
wooden block and placed on the ground. Then I let them to look at the object from the different angle specially from right, left, front, back and mostly from the top view of L-shaped block. Then I asked them to draw their observation.
Keeping their observation as full confidential, I showed them the you tube video from my laptop. Although not in the ICT room with spacious and large screen, nonetheless, children had so much of excitement when there is integrated ICT learning environment in the classroom. Despite of being unlucky on that day for not being able to use the project, I managed to connect my mini woofer to give them clear conversation that is being used in the you tube video which makes them fun to listen to the intonation and gestures.
Most of them were curious of what comes next. As our topic largely covers about how people can see the things differently. The visual discrimination give them an opportunity to visualize the things around them through ranging view point.
Right after the video, I asked them to check their observation drawing captured from the top view and let them visualize the reason for seeing the top view object so flat on the ground. Let the children understand that, it is all because of the visualization and the judgement of our sight.
In the closing part, I asked my children to to browse some more videos on visualization of an object when they reach at home.
